The Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave Tour is a full-day adventure combining jungle hiking, river crossings, swimming, and cave exploration. ATM cave is one of Belize’s most important Maya ceremonial caves and according to National Geographic, its the most sacred cave in the world. It features preserved artifacts, skeletal remains, and dramatic underground chambers. Tours are conducted in small groups, following strict conservation and safety protocols. Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to all tours operated by Tunichil Adventure Tours, including Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave tours and Crystal Cave & Cave Tubing tours. Reservations & Payment All bookings are reservation requests and are confirmed subject to availability and safety conditions. Payment is made in person on the day of the tour, unless otherwise agreed. By submitting a booking request, guests agree to all tour requirements, safety rules, and conservation regulations. Cancellation Policy Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time are accepted without penalty. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour may result in the reservation being declined for future dates. Failure to arrive at the agreed pickup location or meeting point will be treated as a no-show. Rescheduling Policy Rescheduling requests are accepted up to 6 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability. Tours may also be rescheduled by the operator due to weather, water levels, safety concerns, or access restrictions. In such cases, guests will be offered the next available date or an alternative tour where possible. Weather & Safety Conditions Tours operate in natural environments and may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to weather or safety conditions. Decisions related to safety are final and made in the best interest of guests, guides, and site protection. Guest Requirements & Responsibility Guests must meet all physical, safety, and equipment requirements, including swimming ability, appropriate footwear, and comfort in cave environments. Guests who do not meet minimum requirements may be denied participation on the day of the tour. Conduct & Compliance The following will result in immediate removal without refund: Failure to follow guide instructions Unsafe or reckless behavior Disrespect toward archaeological or natural features Bringing prohibited items into the cave Touching artifacts, remains, or cave formations Use of phones or cameras where prohibited Behavior that endangers others or the site Right to Refuse Service Tunichil Adventure Tours reserves the right to refuse service or remove guests at any time if behavior, physical condition, or non-compliance poses a safety or conservation risk. No refunds will be issued in such cases. Policy Acknowledgment By submitting a booking request, guests confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
